Model and former “child bride” Courtney Stodden has dropped a shocking bombshell, calling out Seinfeld star Jason Alexander for a deeply unsettling act on a comedy set when she was just 17 years old. Now 31, Stodden has opened up about the emotional trauma of being a minor exploited by adults in Hollywood.

Stodden, who captured global headlines as a 16-year-old child bride when she married 51-year-old The Green Mile actor Doug Hutchison, is now holding the adults in her past accountable.
Taking to Instagram, the 31-year-old media personality called out Seinfeld legend Jason Alexander over an “impossible to understand” act during a comedy sketch filmed when she was legally a minor.
The controversial incident occurred during a 2012 Funny or Die sketch centered around a fictitious talk show called The Donny Clay Show, where Alexander played the role of sleazy host Donny Clay.

Reflecting on the painful memory, Stodden shared a photograph of her 17-year-old self wearing a bikini while Alexander — who was 52 at the time — interviewed her and her then-husband Hutchison.
“I was 17 years old in this photo,” Stodden revealed in a lengthy, emotional post detailing the inappropriate behavior that took place on set.
She exposed the specific, troubling actions Alexander wrote and performed during the comedy bit:
“The older I get, the more impossible this is to understand. During this comedy sketch, Jason Alexander repeatedly rubbed his phone across my breasts while saying there was ‘no signal’ in my head but ‘plenty of signal’ in my chest.”
“Later in the sketch, he joked that when I turned 18 he’d like to take me behind the couch and ‘have his way’ with me.”

Stodden pointed out that Alexander, now 66, was officially credited as one of the writers for the episode on the entertainment database website IMDb.
Looking back as a grown woman six years after her divorce from Hutchison, Stodden admitted it has “become harder – not easier – for me to understand” how a room full of industry adults permitted a minor to be treated as a sexual punchline.
Describing the sheer helplessness she felt as a teenager surrounded by powerful Hollywood figures, Stodden shared a heart-wrenching insight into the lack of legal protection she faced:
“I didn’t have the legal power to decide whether I wanted to participate. The contracts were signed by adults. The paycheck went to Doug. The production moved forward. I was the only child in the room. I felt so alone.”
“Looking back now, I don’t see comedy. I see a 17-year-old girl whose body became part of an adult joke. People still say, ‘You chose to be there.’ Legally, I couldn’t make those decisions for myself. That’s the point.”

Stodden emphasized that while she cannot alter her past, her motivation for coming forward now is to advocate for stronger laws protecting children in the entertainment industry and beyond.
“I can’t change what happened to me but I can ask myself: How did so many adults look at a minor and decide this was acceptable? That’s exactly why I speak out today,” she explained.
“Children deserve laws that protect them. They shouldn’t have to become adults before realising the law should have protected them all along.”
Alexander has not publicly commented on Stodden’s allegations, but her post triggered an immediate wave of outrage across social media platforms, with fans condemning the sketch.
“It’s very disturbing that they not only wrote this sketch, but allowed it to air,” one follower commented on her post.
Another added: “I remember believing your age, but the media was acting like you were lowering it as a publicity stunt. Very weird of them.”
A sympathetic fan noted: “I’m just sorry that all happened to you. You didn’t deserve it. You deserved decency and protection from the adults around you.”

Stodden’s explosive post comes after years of processing the severe “adult trauma” caused by her controversial 2011 marriage to Hutchison, who was 35 years her senior.
The couple tied the knot in Las Vegas when she was just 16, a union made legally possible because her mother and former manager, Krista Keller, signed off on the consent forms.
After nearly a decade of marriage, their divorce was finalized in 2020, prompting Stodden to speak out about being trapped in an abusive dynamic with a man who married her when she was a child.
Reflecting on her wedding day on social media, Stodden detailed the severe psychological toll of being thrust into an adult world before she was mentally equipped to handle it:
“I’ve been scared to even speak up … during the almost 10-year marriage, because I was a child and he was 50 when we married. But I’m a woman now and it’s time for me to put my big girl pants on and speak on this matter.”

Admitting that she “felt completely trapped, manipulated and at times abandoned by adults,” Stodden addressed Hutchison directly in her emotional divorce statement:
“Growing up in such an environment, became a lonely and dark place. I’ll always love you; yet I’ll always be angry. You’ve left me – a child woman, feeling belittled and confused.”
Earlier this year, to mark what would have been her 15th wedding anniversary, Stodden re-posted a photo from her wedding day with Hutchison’s face scratched out, issuing a powerful statement about consent:
“15 years ago today, a 16 year old girl was married off to a man 35 years older than her and the world treated her like the scandal instead of the victim. I was a virgin. Emotionally still a child. And too young to understand what was about to happen to me behind closed doors for years. Just because a child says ‘I do’ does not mean she understands consent.”
