Danielle’s pretty handy with a chainsaw. Even when she’s dressed in heels.
What started as a petty dispute over rubbish bins with her neighbours escalated into all-out war, with the mum-of-three flying into a rage.

What started as a dispute over bins escalated into a row with a chainsaw. A Current Affair
Twenty-one-year-old Jolon lives in the front unit of a Melbourne block with her mum.
The family’s owned the home for 30 years.
They’ve always put their bins in a garden bed off the driveway. But in December last year, new neighbour Danielle kicked up a stink.
“We just kept them on the communal area, but they were in line with the fence, so we thought everyone was okay but she continued sending these notes until one day my mother came home and she found the bins tipped out on the driveway,” Jolon said.
They installed cameras to catch the culprit. In no time, guess who they saw moving their bins: the mum from next door.

“I had then woken up to the bins being behind my mother’s car. I had moved them and throughout the day she repetitively did it, we moved them back and we needed access to the driveway,” Jolon said.
Then things took a turn and she saw the neighbour with a chainsaw.

The drama was all caught on video.“I asked her straight away, ‘Why you cutting down the tree?’” Jolon said.
“She then proceeded to cut the trees the bins were chained to, not the chains, the trees.”
“I did not know what else to do to get her to stop. I was putting my hand on the side of the chainsaw, she kept grabbing my arm,” Jolon said.
“Then she proceeded to cut the handles of the bins.”
Police eventually arrived. But Jolon says that was barely the start.
While Danielle wouldn’t be interviewed, she claims the harassment goes both ways.
