Tinhlm – Madge’s fiery spray confirmed after Broncos shocker

Brisbane’s playing group has confirmed Michael Maguire finally had enough following a shock 30-26 loss to the Dragons.

News around Maguire’s spray comes after Payne Haas delivered a strong critique of his teammates following the defeat.

“We’re all talk at the moment,” he told ABC Sport.

“We keep on saying we’re going to do all these important things on the field, but to be honest, we’re just BS-ing each other.”

In the aftermath, cameras inside the Broncos dressing room revealed Maguire had given his side a six-minute spray as they languish outside the top eight.

“As you could imagine, he wasn’t real happy after that one,” Ben Hunt told News Corp.

“Deservedly, he ripped into us, he really did.

“We need to have a look at ourselves and sort it out or the season’s going to disappear pretty quickly.”

The loss comes off the back of a 42-12 loss to the Warriors at Magic Round before the Broncos had the bye.

Maguire gave his players time off during the bye round, but it appears to have backfired.

On SEN, Corey Parker said the Broncos “absolutely missed the mark”.

“It was anything but (close), the standards and areas that got them in such a good position to win the competition last year wasn’t there,” he continued.

Parker went on to say it will only take the Broncos to click for a resurgence to come, similar to the side’s run towards a premiership last year.

However, the situation at the Broncos has only become more difficult with Patrick Carrigan out for three to four weeks following a syndesmosis injury.

Gehamat Shibasaki is also out for five to six weeks with an MCL injury.

Brisbane play the Titans next on Saturday at Suncorp Stadium followed by a trip to Sydney for a tricky fixture against the Rabbitohs.
